Pendleton High School piloted the GEARS software over the last 3 years, and also was a pilot for our latest commercial product release. PHS is a 9-12 grade high school with approximately 900 students, and while utilizing the GEARS program, has seen substantial overall increases in performances which they attribute partially to the utilization of the GEARS software... Here is what they had to say.

Pendleton High School like many public high schools in the state of Oregon has been working on a variety of efforts to increase student academic performance and attendance. One of the products we’ve used that has helped launch us to unprecedented success is GEARS, on online tool that helps our teachers put the right students in the classroom at the right time. GEARS also gives teachers and administrators the data and accountability they need to make decisions based on current real time data.

Over the course of 5 years Pendleton High School has seen the following growth in the performance of our junior class as measured by OAKS:

Reading – up 25%
Writing – up 9%
Mathematics – up 30%
Science – up 14%

GEARS has also been a big part of our effort to increase student attendance from 89.4% in 2007 to 92.6% in 2012.
